Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Slow Cooker Barbeque Chicken

For whatever your reason may be…not in the mood to make a big ol’ fancy dinner, busy day at work, just want an easy meal, whatever the case may be….this recipe is for you! Or really, I should just say, this recipe is sometimes for me! It is so easy, and all you need is a slow cooker. This can be made before your kids go off to school, before you go to work, and ready right when it is time to eat at night.

You do need a few items besides the slow cooker and here they are:

4-6 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1 (12 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce or 2 (6 ounce) bottles of barbeque sauces

½ cup Italian salad dressing

¼ cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

When it comes to the barbeque sauces to use, I use what is left in my refrigerator. This is why I suggest using either one type of sauce or two….. I always have bottles of barbeque sauce left in my refrigerator, so I usually will combine 2 types of barbeque sauces. And, I try to combine 2 different types such as a mustard base, and a tomato based.

Directions:

1. Place chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the barbeque sauce, Italian salad dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.

2. Cover, and cook 3 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.
